Join us as we continue to share highlights from the 2025 All That I Am Conference. Today, we’re featuring a breakout session recording titled, Authority, Abuse, & Abolition - (Re)Imagining Church & Community.

Theology is often blamed for toxic abuse but church structures play a significant role in magnifying or reducing the harm done to us. While focusing on the question of “what?” to create instead, it is also essential to ask the question of “how” to create it. This session gives an overview of various models of organizing and polity both in the church and outside of it to engage the questions of how to build resilience in our communities and movements, giving space for participants to share their experiences to empower us to continue the work of shared liberation.
