Growing up in Cleveland, Ohio, Otto was raised in the Pentecostal tradition. He has always been very active in the church including teaching Sunday school and singing in the choir and on the praise team. He received his BA in Sociology with a minor in Biblical studies from Lee University. While at Lee University, Otto participated in the Russian Studies Program and spent and semester in Nizhini Novgorord, Russia. He earned a law degree in 2001 and practiced healthcare and corporate law prior to accepting an in-house position with a Fortune 500 company.
Otto started listening to our podcasts and exploring our online community in 2005. In 2007, he attended his first conference in Anaheim, California. Otto attributes GCN with being an important part of his Christian development, and he is very excited to be part of the organization.
Growing up, Christian Fellowship is what we called spending time with our friends. Whether it was sharing a meal or getting together to play games. When we got together with others for Christian Fellowship, it meant that we were building meaningful relationships. The organization’s new name seems fitting to me because that’s what this community does – we build meaningful relationships.
