The new name shows the ability of a board and staff made up of diverse individuals who represent our diverse community to come together and find common ground.
It’s a sign of maturity and growth when individuals arriving from different backgrounds, experiences, and faith traditions can come together, listen to one another, compromise and find unity behind a name that more fully represents all members of our large extended family. Compromise is a skill that is much needed in today’s socio-political environment. I’m proud of the staff and my fellow board members for the thought, prayer, time and energy invested in this endeavor.
